Val from Chicken School came to talk to the Swindon Allotments and Leisure Gardens Association , under the heading 'Keeping chickens in the back garden'. The talk went extremely well and we were pleased with the turn-out; At about sixty persons the attendance was the best we have had this year so obviously it's a subject that has some appeal at the moment. After the excellent formal presentation, Val then fielded questions for more than half an hour. Members that I spoke to said that they found it very interesting and gained a lot of knowledge from the talk and questions.
